Gap Master

With the GapMaster, operators can precisely adjust the gap dimension by ± 0.1 mm, with ultra-fine increments of just 0.8 µm. This permanent, high-precision adjustment reduces cutting tool wear and significantly extends tool life. The system allows for exact control of cutting depth, essential when working with today’s ultra-thin carrier materials.
The same cutting die can be used across substrates of varying thicknesses, such as glassine or plastics, eliminating the need for frequent tool changes. This allows for fast, cost-efficient adaptation to standard materials without the limitations of a fixed-gap system.
Lubrication options include grease, oil, oil-air, or maintenance-free (MF) operation. The GapMaster can be adjusted independently on the operator and drive sides and is compatible with a wide range of machine types.
Key Benefits:
Simple, precise adjustment for optimal cutting depth
Independent adjustment on both sides
± 0.1 mm adjustment range (other ranges available)
One cutting tool for different substrate thicknesses
Reduced downtime and tool changes
Extended tool and cutting unit lifespan

The GapMaster IC (Integrated Control) features an adjustment unit built directly into the operator-side sliding block, allowing for quick and easy removal or installation using the included lifting beam. Designed for both top and bottom cutting applications, the system provides flexible, high-precision gap control to extend tool life and improve cutting performance.
Lubrication options include grease, oil-air, or maintenance-free (MF) operation. Both operator and machine sides can be adjusted independently, and the system is compatible with a wide range of machine types.
Key Benefits:
Integrated adjustment unit for fast, easy installation and removal
Independent adjustment on both sides
Suitable for top and bottom cutting
Multiple lubrication options: grease, oil-air, maintenance-free
Extended service life of cutting tools and cutting unit

The GapMaster FR (Free Running) is engineered specifically for use in cutting units without support shafts or support rollers. Its robust design features larger axle journals and reinforced sliding blocks, allowing cutting forces to be transmitted directly into the unit frame for reliable, stable operation.
The system offers independent adjustment on both the operator and machine sides and is compatible with a wide range of machine types. Lubrication options include grease or oil-air, ensuring smooth operation and reduced maintenance.
Key Benefits:
Designed for punching units without support shafts or rollers
Reinforced construction with larger axle journals and sliding blocks
Lubrication options: grease or oil-air
Independent adjustment on both sides
Extended service life of cutting tools and the cutting unit

The GapMaster Magnetic is specifically designed for fixed-format, semi-rotary cutting units with non-removable magnetic cylinders. In this configuration, the cutting plate is mounted directly onto the GapMaster, providing reliable, precise control of the cutting gap.
The system offers independent adjustment on both the operator and machine sides and is compatible with grease or maintenance-free (MF) lubrication for reduced maintenance and smooth operation.
Key Benefits:
Ideal for fixed-format, semi-rotary cutting units with magnetic cylinders
Lubrication options: grease or maintenance-free (MF)
Independent adjustment on both sides for precise cutting control
KMS PRESSURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The KMS is a universal, high-precision hydraulic pressure measuring system designed to accurately set and monitor the pre-tensioning pressure within rotary cutting units. Real-time cutting pressure is displayed on the gauge in both kN and bar, with measurements taken directly where force is applied to the cutting tool.
The system provides immediate feedback on cutting pressure and detects fluctuations caused by factors such as thermal expansion. It also allows for early identification of concentricity issues, defective bearings, or alignment problems — helping to prevent damage before it occurs. With correctly adjusted cutting pressure, both tools and bearings are protected, ensuring greater reliability and extended service life.
Key Benefits:
Precise, real-time pressure monitoring
Independent pressure control on both operator and machine sides
Compatible with all standard rotary cutting units
Quick, tool-free installation with clamp-fix system — no wiring required

The KMS 4 is a robust, high-precision pressure measurement system specifically designed for demanding die-cutting applications such as brochures, cardboard, and other heavy or fibrous materials. Like the KMS 2 and 3 models, it displays the actual cutting force in real time via a pressure gauge in both kN and bar, with measurements taken directly at the cutting tool.
Engineered for heavy-duty use, the KMS 4 can operate at pressures of up to 1000 bar, providing the stability and control needed for complex or high-resistance materials. We are happy to discuss custom configurations to meet your specific application requirements.
Key Benefits:
Highly stable, durable system for challenging materials
Ideal for special die-cutting applications such as cardboard and brochures
Supports high operating pressures up to 1000 bar
Fast, tool-free adjustment with clamp-fix system
